CUBS SIGN CHAD TRACY TO MINOR-LEAGUE DEAL
ByIt’s central now. From the release:
The Chicago Cubs have concluded to conditions with infielder Chad Tracy on a teenager joining contract. The understanding includes an entice to vital joining open training. Terms of the understanding were not disclosed.
This is a great signing with no risk. If Tracy is healthy, he’ll have a genuine shot at creation the group as an OF/1B/3B backup. If not, the Cubs can only recover him. Since he (apparently) had no alternative vital joining offers, may be he’d accept a Triple-A choice if he didn’t have the club, and would be the initial damage callup.
Also from a press recover this morning:
The Chicago Cubs and maladroit pitcher Sean Marshall have concluded to conditions on a 2010 contract, to illustrate avoiding income arbitration. Terms of the understanding were not disclosed.
That leaves Ryan Theriot and Carlos Marmol still unsigned.
